The First Note

Musical Paradox Studios is the Home Studio of Katie Barklaev. This family friendy environment welcomes parents to sit in on music lessons while siblings are enjoying crafts and snacks. Many parents schedule blocks of time for all of their children to take music lessons, as some parents take lessons as well.

Teach In Harmony

Katie Barklaev's teaching style is to combine suzuki and traditional methods. Students learn to read music from the beginning! Music Theory is a part of every lesson. Katie even arranges music for students wanting to play a song that may be a little difficult so they can enjoy the music they want to play.

The Future Sounds Good

Musical Paradox Studios hosts one Music Recital each year at The Lyceum in Old Town Alexandria, 201 South Washington Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314 The Lyceum is a prestigious recital site where the recital hall can seat as many as 140 people and the recital hall has a stage and a concert grand piano.
